The Youth O’Clock Advancement Movement (YOAM) has expressed deep concern and sympathy for the people of Maiduguri affected by the recent flooding in the area.

This is contained In a statement signed by National Chairman, Comr. Seth Francis, made available to Journalists in Bauchi on Wednesday.

The group offered thoughts and prayers to those who have lost homes, businesses, and livelihoods in the natural disaster.

The statement emphasized the importance of unity and collective strength in times of adversity, urging affected individuals to hold on to hope and trust in a brighter future.

The group assured the people of Maiduguri that they are not alone and pledged support for initiatives promoting resilience, community development, and youth empowerment.

“We understand the pain and loss that many are enduring, from homes and businesses to cherished memories and livelihoods.

“But we also know that in moments of adversity, we are called to stand together, united in strength and purpose.”the statement read.

The YOAM also called on all Nigerians to join them in their efforts to make a positive impact across the nation, striving for a future where every individual, community, and state thrives even in the face of adversity.

The group urged the people of Maiduguri to take proactive steps to prevent such occurrences in the future and pledged to support initiatives that promote sustainable development and disaster risk reduction.

The statement concluded with a message of solidarity and hope, urging the people of Maiduguri to stand together and work towards rebuilding, restoring, and renewing their great city.

“Together, we can create a Nigeria where every individual, every community, and every state thrives, even in the face of adversity,” it read.
