The ongoing rivalry between Nigerian music titans Wizkid and Davido intensified on Monday night, garnering significant attention across social media platforms.
The feud ignited in the early hours of Monday when Wizkid mocked Davido on X, formerly known as Twitter.
The Grammy-winning artist also took aim at music producer and label owner, Don Jazzy.
Wizkid referred to Don Jazzy as merely an “influencer” while using a recent viral video of Davido on his knees, pleading and crying after a fan requested new music, to taunt him.
These posts by the singer drew criticism from some social media users, prompting questions about the underlying issues between the two artists.
However, Davido responded to Wizkid’s provocations with a series of tweets on Monday evening.
“Dem no know ur gbedu [music] again,” Davido tweeted, implying that Wizkid’s music was losing its appeal with fans.
Wizkid swiftly countered Davido’s criticism with a dismissive comment.
