The online rivalry between two musical icons, Ayodeji Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, and David Adedeji, also known as Davido, escalated on Monday night.
Wizkid initially threw shade at Davido by posting a leaked video of him allegedly pleading with a female acquaintance, in response to a fan’s request for new music on X.
The Grammy award-winning artist also belittled the achievements of Don Jazzy, a renowned music producer and label owner, dismissing him as merely an ‘influencer,’ sparking controversy on the micro-blogging platform.
In retaliation, Davido dropped a series of enigmatic tweets on Monday night, seemingly directed at Wizkid. One tweet, “Dem no know your Gbedu,” appeared to be a dig at Wizkid’s announcement of his forthcoming Morayo album in May.
Continuing his response, Davido tweeted, “When light comes, darkness vanishes. Let’s get active,” further fueling the ongoing feud between the two musicians.
