The PDP Ward in Rivers has suspended a Representative who is loyal to Fubara.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ward 1 of Ngor, Andoni Local Government Area, Rivers State, has announced the suspension of Awaji-Inombek Abiante, the member representing Andoni/Opobo Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.

This decision was reached during a meeting of PDP leaders and stakeholders held at the party’s office in Ngor town on Monday evening. Abiante is among the federal legislators in the National Assembly who align with Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara.

The resolution, signed by Dike Bara, the PDP CTC Ward Chairman in Andoni LGA, along with Dokubo Jackson, the CTC Ward Secretary, and 12 other executives, was unanimously endorsed by party leaders and stakeholders in the Ward.

According to Bara, Abiante’s suspension stems from his role in fostering divisions within the party, unauthorized dissemination of party disputes, and establishment of a parallel party structure at the Ward level, among other allegations.

The party further accuses Abiante of violating section 58, sub-section 1j of the party’s constitution.
