Muchee News reports that activist and politician, Omoyele Sowore, has raised fresh allegations of theft and embezzlement against the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike.
According to Sowore, Wike has allegedly diverted prime Abuja lands to family members and political allies, describing the actions as a blatant case of corruption and abuse of office. He further claimed that some allocations were valued in hundreds of millions of naira, including plots linked to the minister’s son and father.
Sowore called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to immediately suspend Wike and allow for an independent probe, warning that failure to act would erode public trust in the government’s anti-corruption stance.
In response, Wike dismissed the allegations as politically motivated and maintained that all land allocations in the FCT under his watch followed due process.
Muchee News notes that the presidency has yet to issue a formal statement on Sowore’s claims, though calls for transparency and accountability continue to mount.
