Private Sector Partners Pledge to Boost Healthcare in Bauchi

In a significant boost to the healthcare sector in Bauchi State, private sector companies have reiterated their commitment to improving the quality of healthcare services in the state.

The companies, including A A Rano Companies Nigeria Limited, Ramadan Printing Press, and Tiamin Rice Mill, made the pledge during a follow-up visit by the Health System Strengthening Cluster, a sub-grantee of the USAID-funded SCALE project.

The private sector partners pledged to support the project with all necessary resources, demonstrating their commitment to enhancing the healthcare system in Bauchi State.

The project is part of the SCALE project, a 5-year initiative funded by USAID and implemented by Palladium in collaboration with Nigerian Resource Partners.

Hajiya Asmau Yahaya during the follow up advocacy visit the private sectors explained the Health System Strengthening Cluster is implementing a project titled “Improved Quality Healthcare Service Delivery through Integrated Supportive Supervision (ISS)”,

“Aimed at strengthening the health sector and improving the quality of healthcare service delivery in the state.

She said the goal of the project is to improve public accountability, transparency, and sustainable service delivery in Nigeria by strengthening the managerial, financial, and advocacy capacity of civil society organizations.

According to her, the Health System Strengthening Cluster is a key component of the project, comprising six civil society organizations across the country.

They include Life Transformation for Africa Initiative (LIFT4AFRICA), Council for Affirmative Action (COFA), She Alert Care Foundation, Women with Disability Integrity & Development Initiative (WDIDI), Bauchi State Network of Civil Societies (BASNEC) and Better Life Restoration Initiative (BERI) serving as the anchor organization.
