The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Bauchi State Command has deployed over 1,500 personnel across the state to ensure safety and security during the Yuletide season.
This is contained in a statement signed by ASC11 Saminu Yusuf Public Relation Officer (PRO) of the Command made available to newsmen in Bauchi on Wednesday.
According to the statement, the Commandant Oloyede Nelson Oyerinde, said the deployment is aimed at joining forces with other security agencies to secure the state during Christmas and New Year celebrations.
“The deployment includes both covert and overt operations, joint patrol of flash points, protection of critical national assets and infrastructure, as well as worship centers, parks, eateries, banks, and hotels.
“Commandant Oyerinde directed the officers and men to be diligent, focused, and honest in carrying out their duties,” it said
It said the Commandant also advised the people of Bauchi State to avoid engaging in activities that may lead to a breach of security during the festive period.
