Group urges Gov Mohammed to back Sen. Ningi’s 2027 Governorship Bid

A political support group under the umbrella of Senator Abdul Ahmed Ningi Vanguard 2027 (SAAN 2027) has called on Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Mohammed, to throw his weight behind the gubernatorial ambition of Senator Abdul Ahmed Ningi come 2027.

Speaking during a press conference at the NUJ Press Centre, Bauchi, on Tuesday, the Chairman of the group, Comrade Sani Adamu, said that Senator Ningi remains a loyal and consistent member of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), having never defected from the party since 1999.

“We are calling on Governor Mohammed to look inward and support Senator Abdul Ahmed Ningi to succeed him as the next Governor of Bauchi State.

“He has shown unwavering loyalty and commitment to the PDP and played pivotal roles in your electoral victories both in 2019 and 2023.” Adamu stated

The group emphasized Senator Ningi’s role as Director General of Bala Mohammed’s campaign in 2019, and his continued support even after contesting against the governor in the party’s primaries.

According to the SAAN 2027 chairman, after wide consultations with stakeholders across the state’s 20 Local Government Areas, youth groups, and NGOs, the group reached a unanimous decision to endorse Senator Ningi as their preferred candidate for the 2027 governorship race.

Comrade Adamu praised the Senator’s track record in youth development, job creation, and anti-corruption, describing him as “a courageous, charismatic, and disciplined leader with zero tolerance for corruption.”

“Senator Ningi’s contributions to nation-building and his unwavering belief in the youth are unmatched.

“He is a leader who inspires excellence and empowers the younger generation with opportunities to grow and succeed.he added.

The group vowed to mobilize support, campaign vigorously, and canvass votes to ensure Senator Abdul Ahmed Ningi emerges victorious in the upcoming general elections.
