Govt boosts Sa’adu Zungur university with increased funding

Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State has made a significant increase in the monthly allocation/subvention released to Sa’adu Zungur University (SAZU).

This move has been met with profound gratitude and appreciation from the university’s management and community.

According to Professor Fatimah Tahir, Vice Chancellor of SAZU, this increased funding will go a long way in addressing the challenges faced by the university, particularly in teaching and learning.

The university had previously struggled with inadequate funding, which hindered its ability to compete with other institutions in the country.

“The increased funding is part of Governor Mohammed’s vision to improve the standard and quality of education in Bauchi state.

“The governor has also been commended for the construction of five major access roads within the university’s main campus, which has improved accessibility and convenience for students, faculty, and staff,” the statement said.

“We are grateful to Governor Mohammed for his commitment to improving education in Bauchi state.

“This increased funding will enable us to provide better services to our students and improve our overall performance.”said Prof. Tahir.

The statement also said the increased funding will enable the university to provide quality teaching and efficient research.

“The funding will help address the challenges posed by inadequate funding, which has hindered the university’s competitiveness.

“The construction of five major access roads within the university’s main campus has improved accessibility and convenience,” it said
