Gov Mohammed approves visitation panel to address Sa’adu zungur university challenges

In a decisive move to address pressing concerns at Sa’adu Zungur University, Gadau, Bauchi State Governor, Sen. Bala Mohammed, has approved the constitution of a high-level Visitation Panel.

It said the panel, composed of eminent professionals and education experts, aims to undertake a comprehensive review of the university.

The Visitation Panel, chaired by Prof. Gambo Laraba Abdullahi, has been tasked with investigating challenges and providing actionable recommendations to address welfare and administrative concerns that have disrupted academic activities.

The panel’s terms of reference include investigating the causes of the ongoing strike, reviewing financial operations, examining academic programs, and assessing the governance structure.

The Bauchi State Government reassures the university community and the public of its commitment to the growth and stability of Sa’adu Zungur University.

The outcome of the panel’s assignment is expected to lay the foundation for sustained growth, financial probity, and academic excellence.

The panel has been given eight weeks to complete its assignment and submit a detailed report to the government.

The government urges all stakeholders, including staff, students, and the public, to cooperate fully with the panel during its assignment.
