Lagos, Nigeria — In a bold move toward strengthening continental unity, Edeh Benjamin, advocate of the United African Republic (UAR) initiative, has submitted a strategic proposal to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu through the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF).
The proposal comes in the wake of former U.S. President Donald Trump’s recent statements perceived as a geopolitical warning to African nations. Benjamin’s document calls for a decisive African response built on unity, cooperation, and shared governance.
According to Muchee News, the proposal emphasizes the need for Africa to adopt a coordinated policy approach in defense, trade, and development. Benjamin described the initiative as “a continental awakening” a pathway for Africa to define its destiny and protect its interests amid shifting global alliances.
“Africa must act as one voice in global affairs,” Benjamin said. “This vision isn’t about competition but cooperation building an Africa that speaks, trades, and defends as one.”
Analysts believe the proposal could serve as a blueprint for a new era of African diplomacy — one that begins with regional collaboration and extends toward continental strength.
Benjamin, through his long-standing advocacy, has continued to champion Africa’s integration and leadership renaissance. The submission of the UAR Proposal marks another significant step in that mission.
Muchee News notes that the Presidency’s acknowledgment of such a proposal could open discussions that redefine Africa’s position in global politics and foster deeper continental partnerships.
