Former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, has made shocking revelations about Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed’s, treatment of Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike.

Dogara in a statement issued to Journalists on Tuesday in Bauchi, claims that despite Wike’s significant financial support for Mohammed’s gubernatorial campaign in 2018, Mohammed has shown gross ingratitude towards Wike.

Dogara recounts how Wike provided mobile jets and substantial financial assistance to Mohammed during his campaign, without demanding anything in return.

He also reveals how Mohammed had previously betrayed his godfather and other allies, demonstrating a pattern of ingratitude and disloyalty.

According to Dogara, Wike’s support for Mohammed was instrumental in his emergence as the PDP gubernatorial candidate in 2018.

Dogara further claims that Mohammed had initially promised to sponsor all PDP candidates in the state if he became the flagbearer but failed to fulfill his promise.

The former Speaker’s revelations have also raised questions about Mohammed’s character and leadership style.

“It is obvious that Bala Mohammed is not near anything that he is projecting to the public,” Dogara said.

“When Wike was his benefactor, he said he knew Wike had done better than him and referred to him as ‘someone who is courageous, focused, and determined, a person qualified and competent to help salvage Nigeria’.”

Dogara questioned Mohammed’s motives, stating that he is trying to “elevate himself by putting others down” and that he “inhales rather than thinks before he talks.”

The former Speaker concluded by saying that he will not remain silent in the face of injustice, citing Saint John Chrysostom’s quote, “We must not mind insulting men, if by respecting them we offend God.”

Dogara’s exposé has sparked intense debate and reaction, with many calling for Mohammed to respond to the allegations.
