Chairmen and key stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) from Dass, Tafawa Balewa, and Bogoro Federal Constituency have lauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for appointing Hon. Yakubu Dogara as Chairman of the Nigerian Consumer Guarantee Company (NCGC), describing it as a bold step towards fairness, inclusivity, and national unity.
In a joint statement signed by APC State Legal Adviser Rabiu Garba and 19 other stakeholders, the leaders praised Tinubu for his responsiveness to regional representation made available to newsmen on Sunday in Bauchi
They noted that Dogara’s appointment reflects “putting the right person in the right place” and expressed confidence in his ability to lead the NCGC with integrity and strategic direction.
They described Dogara as “a natural-born leader” whose rise is defined by discipline, honesty, fear of God, and hard work.
“His leadership as Speaker of the House of Representatives brought peace, landmark achievements, and record legislative output, including over 300 bills passed and 1,000 resolutions,” the statement read.
Among his notable legislative contributions are the North East Development Commission Bill, the Petroleum Industry Governance Bill, and efforts to strengthen local government autonomy.
The stakeholders said Dogara’s wealth of experience will add value to the economy, particularly in supporting Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), manufacturers, and consumers through the newly established NCGC.
They affirmed their continued support for President Tinubu, describing him as a listening leader committed to the greater good of the nation.
“This appointment underscores his commitment to credible leadership and adaptability—hallmarks of effective governance,” the group stated.
They pledged to keep supporting Tinubu’s administration and prayed for divine wisdom to guide him in steering Nigeria toward unity, stability, and economic growth.
