The Member representing Bogoro, Dass, and Tafawa Balewa Federal Constituency at the National Assembly, Hon. Jafaru Gambo Leko, has sponsored JAMB registration for over 300 candidates and facilitated computer-based test (CBT) training for an additional 260 students preparing for the examination.

The Special Adviser on Media to the lawmaker, Mr. Godiya Lumi Jumma stated this at the end of the training exercise on Thursday in Dass

He explained that the initiative was designed to equip students with basic digital literacy and practical computer skills necessary to excel in the JAMB CBT exams.

Jumma noted that many of the beneficiaries had never operated a computer before.

“Hon. Leko believes education is the most valuable empowerment tool for youth. That is why he took it upon himself to ensure that students from his constituency are not left behind,” Jumma stated.

He said the program, which aligns with the lawmaker’s long-standing commitment to educational support and youth development, is expected to expand into other sectors in the near future.

According to Jummat the training covers introductory computer courses and familiarization with the JAMB CBT system.

Mr. Abdulmalik Jibrin Sulaiman, one of the facilitators, emphasized the importance of the training in bridging the digital gap among students in rural communities.

He commended the students for their enthusiasm and quick grasp of the concepts, expressing optimism that they would perform well in their exams.

Beneficiaries of the program expressed their gratitude, describing the gesture as unprecedented.

They lauded Hon. Leko for relieving their parents of the financial burden of JAMB registration and pledged their support for his future initiatives.
