Thousands of Muslim faithful gathered in Bauchi for the 49th edition of the Annual National Maulud Anniversary, commemorating the birth of Islamic Scholar Sheikh Ibrahim Nyass.

The event, known for its large gathering and spiritual significance, drew participants from across Nigeria and beyond, including countries like the United States, Egypt, Morocco among others

Speaking at the anniversary on Saturday in Bauchi Sheik Mahiy Nyass, urged the faithful to remain obedient to Allah and respect their leaders, while also praying for them.

He emphasised the importance of prayer and supplication, especially in times of challenges and difficulties.

Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State also echoed this sentiment, calling on Muslims to pray for leaders and specifically for President Bola Tinubu to implement policies that benefit citizens.

Mohammed said the event was marked by a sense of unity and spirituality,

Earlier, Sheik Ibrahim Dahiru expressed gratitude to the Bauchi State government and citizens for their support in conducting the week-long activities peacefully and successfully.

According to him, the Annual National Maulud Anniversary serves as a reminder of the importance of prayer, obedience, and respect for leaders in Islam.

“By converging in Bauchi, Muslims from across the country and beyond demonstrated their commitment to these values and their desire for peaceful coexistence,” Dahiru said
