A Non government Organization, named Rotary club,Bauchi state chapter has reiterates commitments to partner with Bauchi state government and other stakeholders to create awareness on the fight against polio in the state.
Mr Morris Choji, President of Rotary club in Bauchi stated during the World Polio day celebrations in bauchi.
He said that the Rotary would ensure that the present status quo was maintain for a free polio society.
Whole celebrating the survivors, a road work was organized by Rotary club in partnership with World Health Organization,UNICEF amongst others.
Saiyanu Ahmed,Incident Manager, Emergency Operation Center,Bauchi state has attributed the successful eradication of polio in the state to traditional,media and Polio survivors due to steadfast in creating awareness at various levels.
He said that creating awareness and acceptance in the community was instrumental in the fight against the menace.
Ahmed acknowledged the effort of other stakeholders in providing support that drives the process to a complete eradication of the preventable disease.
Speaking,Mr Mustapha Malafiya,an official of the World Health Organization in Bauchi said that vaccines were safe and prevented childhood diseases.
He added that the community structures play a vital role which had debunked all false information on vaccines. polio virus.
