Senator Shehu Buba, representing Bauchi South Senatorial District, has flagged off the construction of a 2.4km road in Zaranda Gari village, Toro Local Government Area of Bauchi State
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony on Saturday in Zaranda Village, Buba said the project, valued at over N850 million, is part of his constituency projects included in the 2024 budget.
“The road construction, which will be executed by the Federal Ministry of Works, is expected to be completed within four weeks,” he said.
Sen. Buba emphasised that the project will boost economic activities in Zaranda village and its surroundings, improving the livelihoods of residents.
“This project is a testament to my commitment to my constituents’ welfare,” he said.
He noted that the project is a fulfillment of his campaign promises, demonstrating his dedication to the development of Bauchi South Senatorial District.
“This is just the beginning; more projects are on the way,” he assured.
Buba, who is the Chairman of the Senate Committee on National Security and Intelligence,said this is his commitment to his constituents’ welfare.
“My efforts to provide essential infrastructure and services are evident in his previous humanitarian initiatives.
Sen. Buba urged the contractor to ensure timely completion and quality workmanship as well cooperate community norms.
Alhaji Hassan Zaranda residents of Zaranda Gari village expressed gratitude to Sen. Buba for initiating the project.
“This road will improve our access to markets, schools, and healthcare facilities,” he said.
