Bauchi Gov. Launches Rural Road Project, Boosting Connectivity, Economic Growth

Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Muhammad, has kickstarted the construction of a 38 km rural road network in Kirfi Local Government area,marking a significant milestone in his administration’s efforts to drive rural development and connectivity

The N18 billion project aims to connect five rural communities – Bara, Hashidu, Tubule, Garin Malam Julde, and Wanka – and is expected to unlock new opportunities for economic growth, social interaction, and access to basic services.

Speaking at the flagging-off ceremony in Bara Village on Wednesday Governor Bala Muhammad highlighted the importance of rural infrastructure in driving development and improving the lives of rural dwellers.

He emphasized his administration’s commitment to addressing the infrastructure deficit in rural areas and promoting inclusive growth.

The governor expressed his excitement about the project’s potential to transform the lives of rural communities, facilitating the movement of people and goods, and providing access to markets, schools, healthcare facilities, and other essential services.

He commended the contractor, The Triacta Nigeria Limited, for their commitment to delivering quality work and assured the communities that his administration would monitor the project’s progress to ensure timely completion.

The Emir of Bauchi, Alhaji Rilwanu Sulaiman Adamu, praised the project, noting its positive impact on the local economy, including easier transportation of goods for farmers and traders, and better access to social services.

The ceremony was attended by local government officials, traditional leaders, and community members, who expressed their gratitude to the governor for his commitment to rural development.
