The PDP caucus of the Bauchi State House of Assembly has denounced the threats made by FCT Minister Nelson Wike as “reckless, uncalled for, and unacceptable” in Bauchi state politics.

This came after a motion was presented by Barrister Habib Umar, representing Kirfi Constituency, during plenary.

The lawmakers condemned Wike’s comments, which threatened to instigate a crisis in any state whose governor interfered with Rivers State politics, specifically targeting Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed.

They advised security agencies to take note of Wike’s threat, stating that it undermines efforts to build and maintain peaceful coexistence in the state.

The lawmakers passed a vote of confidence in Governor Mohammed for his leadership style, which has repositioned Bauchi State for rapid development.

Members representing Bauchi Central, Shira, and Burra constituencies criticized Wike’s statement, urging him to use his position and experience for national interest rather than selfish interests.

In a separate motion, Ahmed Abdullahi, representing Dass Constituency, appealed to the state government to construct a road from Kwanar Sayaw to Doka Village in Dass Local Government Area

To address transportation problems and improve access to social amenities.

The speaker, Abubakar Sulaiman, presided over the plenary session.
